CAR RENTAL TERMS

Our prices include:

• All kinds of fees-taxes & V.A.T., no hidden costs

• Free pick-up and delivery services at hotels, the port and the airport of Chania city.

NECESSARY DRIVER DOCUMENTS

• For categories A, B, J the age limit is 23 years and for the remaining categories it must be 25 years. The maximum age limit is 75 years.
• The driving license must be issued at least one year before the date of collection. The driving license must be Greek, European (for EU countries) or international (for non-EU countries)
• For all categories the renter must present a credit/debit card to cover the amounts related to the guarantee and the payment of the rental cost.

Reservations and Vehicle Groups

All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific vehicle model. We try to match each reservation with the selected vehicle model. However, if the selected model becomes unavailable, our company reserves the right to offer a similar model. A similar model will be a vehicle in the same group - category as the selected model. Also, our company reserves the right to offer a larger group – category model at no additional charge (free upgrade). 

Reservation duration, minimum rental fee

The minimum reservation duration is 24 hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must send an email or message (WhatsApp, messenger) of cancellation notification and receive a cancellation notification receipt response.

Payment Methods

The renter must present a personal credit/debit card to pick up the car.

FUEL POLICY

The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

Basic Insurance Package

Our basic insurance coverage is included in the prices and includes:

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an additional amount that varies depending on the car category.
• Third Party Insurance (TPR)
• Fire Insurance
• Theft Insurance.

Additional Insurance

Mixed Insurance with Full Collision Damage Waiver

All our cars are provided with the option of full insurance without driver liability amount that covers all repair costs in the event of an accident, as long as the KOK has not been violated. The above insurance is optional and you can request it before the start of the rental, the cost is €10.00 per day for cars of groups A, B, C & J and €15.00 for cars of groups K, U & Y. Tires, wheels and damage to the underside of the car are not covered by any insurance.

In the event of an accident or any other incident, the renter is responsible for following the insurance procedure as specified below:

a) Take photos of the accident

b) Call the police.

c) Get names and addresses of any witnesses.

d) Do not accept any responsibility or fault for the accident, until the police find the culprit.

e) Contact the lessor immediately by phone or otherwise.

f) Obtain all relevant information from the third party or parties (car number, names, etc.).

g) Complete and sign an accident report within 24 hours of the accident

h) Send any other documents or information related to the accident to the lessor

Basic accident costs

The driver is charged €30 regardless of the cause as an administration fee. This amount is non-refundable.

Not covered by any insurance

• Damage caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Damage caused by an unauthorized driver.
• Damage to the interior of the vehicle.
• Damage caused because the vehicle was illegally parked.
• Damage due to violation of road laws.
• Damage due to improper driving, negligence or intentional.
• Damage to the engine from incorrect fuel or negligence.
• Damage caused because the vehicle was used off-road or on unsuitable roads (unpaved, dirt roads, beaches, etc.) such as Balos beach.
• Damage caused after the agreed time return.
• Damage to mirrors.
• Damage or loss of tires, rims, caps.
• Damage to the underside of the vehicle.
• Damage or loss of the antenna.
• Damage caused intentionally or recklessly by the renter (e.g. burning the clutch, burning the tires, sitting or standing on the hood or roof or trunk of the vehicle, etc.).
• If the renter fails to notify our company or the police at the time of the accident.
• Loss of personal belongings.
• Loss, damage or theft of vehicle keys.
• Loss or damage to child seats, jack, warning triangle, spare wheel, caps of gasoline or any accessory.
• Total or partial theft, in cases where the theft was caused by the renter's negligence (e.g. I forgot the engine keys in the vehicle, etc.).
• Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Highway Code.

The company reserves the right to charge the customer for any damage, wear or loss resulting from the above exceptions or the incorrect use of the car.

Traffic Fines or Other Administrative Sanctions

The renter must pay traffic fines or any administrative sanctions that may arise from any violation of the Greek Road Traffic Law. The renter can pay the fines in cash. If a fine is required after the rental period, our company will charge the renter's credit card with the amount of the fine plus VAT (24%).
If the police or other authorities remove the license plates during the rental, the renter must immediately compensate our company. The amount of compensation will be calculated by multiplying the total number of days the vehicle will be without plates by the daily rental price from the current season.

Obligations - Other terms

The renter must check the condition of the tires, the exterior of the vehicle and whether the vehicle can be driven safely. The renter is responsible and obliged to compensate the company for damages resulting from lack of care. You must also park and lock the vehicle properly in a suitable and safe place.

During the rental period, the vehicle must not be used:

• In violation of the rental terms
• To transport passengers or goods for a fee
• To transport more passengers than permitted
• To transport heavy objects, smelly goods or drugs
• To tow another car or trailer
• In any kind of competition
• For any purpose contrary to Greek laws
• Off-road or on roads unsuitable for the vehicle
• Outside Crete without written authorization from our company

Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

Our company has the right to cancel the rental agreement without consequences if the renter is considered harmful to the interests of the company or violates either the road traffic laws or the rental terms.

Baby, Child & Booster Seats

We offer two different types of seats

• Baby seat: 0-18 Kgs
• Child seat – booster seat 18-36 Kgs

The child seats are available upon request and subject to availability. The seat is charged 3€ per day for all seat types.

Additional Drivers

Aditional driver free of charge.

PETS

No animals are allowed in the vehicle

VEHICLE CLEANING CHARGE

The car must be returned clean of stains, beach sand, sea water and sunscreen. Also the exterior must be clean enough to be checked for any kind of wear and tear and damage. Our company reserves the right to charge the renter a cleaning fee for cleaning the vehicle (minimum charge 50€).
